Invoice Generator with Logo — Free, No Signup Needed
By Innvoic
A logo turns an invoice from a bill into a brand touchpoint. This free invoice generator puts your logo in the invoice header and on the PDF you send, so clients recognize you the moment they open it. Upload a PNG once and it’s saved in your browser for every future invoice. No account needed.
How to create an invoice with your logo
- Open the generator and click the logo area. It’s the empty box at the top left of the invoice header in the preview. One click opens your file picker.
- Choose your logo file. PNG with a transparent background looks best. JPG works too. Files up to 2MB are accepted, which covers just about any web-ready logo.
- Check how it sits. If it looks stretched or tiny, resize the source file instead of fighting the layout. Around 400 to 800 pixels wide usually lands well in the header.
- Build the invoice as normal. Add your client details, line items, totals, and payment info. The logo stays put while you work, and it’s saved for next time.
- Download the PDF. The logo prints in the header of the PDF too, exactly where your client sees it first. The PDF is generated locally, so your logo never leaves your computer.
What to include on a logo invoice
- Your logo: PNG with transparency, under 2MB, checked in the preview
- Business name and contact details: the logo supports your name, it doesn’t replace it
- Client name and billing address: bill the company entity, not just your contact
- A unique invoice number: sequential, never reused, even for canceled invoices
- Issue date and due date: write the due date as a calendar date, not just “Net 30”
- Clear line items: description, quantity, rate, and amount per line
- Subtotal, discounts, tax, and total: show the math so nothing looks hidden
- Amount paid and balance due: state it even when nothing’s been paid yet
- Payment details: how the client should actually pay you
- Notes or terms: a thank-you line, your late fee policy, or both
- A final glance at the header: logo crisp, business name spelled right, nothing overlapping
Why a logo on your invoice actually matters
An invoice without a logo is just a bill. An invoice with one is a reminder of who did the work. When a client opens their inbox and sees your mark in the header, they place you instantly. No squinting at the sender name, no wondering which freelancer this is.
That recognition matters most when the invoice gets forwarded. Your contact sends it to accounting, and suddenly someone who has never heard of you is deciding whether to pay. A clean logo in the header tells that stranger you’re a real business. It won’t replace good work, but it removes a small, silent doubt.
There’s a practical side too. Clients who juggle dozens of vendors file things visually. Your logo becomes the handle they grab when they dig through their downloads folder three months later. The logo you already use on your website does the job.
Logo file tips: get it looking sharp
The upload accepts common image files up to 2MB. PNG with a transparent background is the best choice. It sits cleanly on the header without a white box, and it stays sharp on the PDF. JPGs work too, but they always carry their background color with them.
Aim for a source file around 400 to 800 pixels wide. That’s crisp on screen and in print. Don’t upload a 16-pixel favicon and hope for the best. And skip the giant 5MB print file. It’ll hit the 2MB cap, and you don’t need that resolution for an invoice.
If your logo has a tagline baked in at tiny sizes, use a simplified version without it. Small text turns to mush at header size. And check the PDF preview before you send. A ten-second glance catches layout surprises.

Frequently asked questions
Will my logo appear on the PDF I send to clients?
Yes. The logo sits in the invoice header while you work, and it prints in the same spot on the downloaded PDF. What you see in the preview is what your client gets.
What logo file should I upload?
A PNG with a transparent background, roughly 400 to 800 pixels wide, under 2MB. That looks sharp on screen and on the PDF. JPGs work, but they show their background color as a rectangle behind the logo.
Is my logo uploaded to a server somewhere?
No. Your logo is stored in your browser’s local storage, right alongside your invoice data. Nothing is sent anywhere. The tradeoff: if you clear your browser data or switch devices, you’ll need to upload it again.
My logo looks blurry on the invoice. How do I fix it?
Upload a larger source file. Blurriness almost always means the original was too small and got stretched. A 400 to 800 pixel wide PNG fixes it in nearly every case.
Can I use different logos for different clients or businesses?
Yes. Upload whichever file you need before generating each invoice. The tool keeps the most recent upload saved.
Does adding a logo cost anything?
No. Logo upload, PDF download, client history, all of it is free with no account required.
