Free Quote Generator — No Signup

Every invoice starts life as a quote. Someone asks what a job would cost, you put a number in writing, and if they say yes, that number becomes the invoice. This generator handles the whole chain: build the estimate or quote in seconds, save it, and when it’s approved, convert it to an invoice with one click. No retyping the lines, no new totals to mistype. It runs in the tab you’re already in. PDFs come out clean, no watermark.

Quotes that turn into invoices

The painful part of quoting is the double entry: you build a careful estimate, the client approves it, and you rebuild the whole thing as an invoice. You don’t here. Save the quote to My Invoices, hit Duplicate when it’s approved, and switch the document type to Invoice. Same lines, same totals, new invoice number, ready to send. The history keeps both: the original quote marked as sent and the invoice it became. Scope changed mid-project? Duplicate and adjust. It’s a small workflow that kills the most error-prone step in freelance admin: retyping numbers from one document into another. Do that for a year and the hours saved, plus the correction emails you never have to send, add up fast.

Estimate, quote, or proforma — which one?

People use these words like they’re interchangeable. Clients don’t read them that way. An estimate says the price might move, which suits hourly or exploratory work. A quote is firmer: this is the price, valid for 30 days. A proforma is a preliminary bill, usually for advance payment or customs. You get all three here, plus invoice and receipt, as one-click document types, because most freelancers need whichever one the situation calls for. The layout adapts to each: quotes drop the payment-pressure language, proformas suit prepayment, while your data stays put. Pick the label that matches your intent.

Need an estimate instead of a quote? Estimates are for when the scope is uncertain and the price may change; quotes are fixed-price commitments.

Is this quote generator free?

Yes. Create as many estimates and quotes as you like, download them as PDF, and convert them to invoices when they’re approved. No account needed.

What’s the difference between a quote and an estimate?

A quote is usually a fixed, committed price. An estimate says the final cost may vary. This tool offers both as document types, so pick the label that fits and the layout adapts.

Can I convert a quote into an invoice?

Yes. Save the quote, duplicate it from My Invoices, and switch the document type to Invoice. All lines and totals carry over with a fresh invoice number.

Can I download my quote as a PDF?

Yes. The Download PDF button produces a clean, print-ready PDF of your estimate or quote, formatted for A4 in your chosen theme.

How long is a quote valid?

Most quotes are valid for 14 to 30 days. Always include an expiry date so the client knows when to decide. After expiry, prices may change due to material costs or availability.

What should a quote include?

Your business name and contact, client details, a quote number and date, line items with quantities and rates, the total, payment terms, and an expiry date. Be specific about what’s included — vague quotes lead to disputes.
