Salon Invoice Generator — Free, No Signup

By Innvoic

One visit, four things to bill. A cut and color. The retail shampoo she took home. A package session being redeemed. A deposit already paid on the bridal booking. Salon invoices aren’t receipts. They’re small stacks of different transaction types, and this free salon invoice generator handles the mix: services and retail products on separate lines, deposits credited automatically, package sessions tracked per client. No signup, nothing to install. PDFs come out clean and watermark-free. Invoice from the chair between appointments.

See what the finished PDF looks like: Download a sample salon invoice (PDF). Sample invoice generated with the Innvoic tool using fictional details. Downloaded PDFs carry a one-line footer credit beginning “Generated free with Innvoic” — no watermark across the document.

Line items that match how salons actually charge

Salons sell three things. Services: cut, color, balayage, treatments. Each gets its own line so the client sees what each cost. Retail: shampoos, styling products, home-care kits sold at the register, with quantity × price and per-line tax where your jurisdiction taxes retail differently from services. Packages: bridal trials plus wedding-day styling, color packages spanning multiple visits, membership-style monthly blowouts. Bundle them with invoice-level discounts while still showing full value. Notes on each invoice carry the details that prevent front-desk arguments: which package session this visit redeems, the cancellation policy, the deposit terms for event bookings.

A color appointment, invoiced: balayage $180, toner $45, bond treatment $30, and the take-home product on its own line at $28. Total $283. Services and retail stay separate — the client sees the craft priced as craft, and when the product runs out in six weeks, its name is already on their last invoice.

Deposits, packages, and the client database

Bridal and event bookings live on deposits. Issue a proforma invoice for the deposit to lock the date, record it as a partial payment, and the final invoice shows the deposit credited with only the balance due. One clean paper trail from trial to wedding day. The client database keeps every regular’s history with their status, so you know at a glance who has sessions left on a package and whose last invoice is still unpaid. Booth renters and independent stylists get the same workflow with no salon software subscription. Your clients, your records, stored only in your own browser.

Invoicing between appointments

Salon admin happens in the gaps. Five minutes between a color processing and the next cut. The generator is fully mobile with a sticky action bar. Pull up the client from the database, tap through their usual services, and email the invoice from your phone before they’ve left the chair. Add a QR payment code to the on-screen preview so clients can pay from their phones at the mirror. The downloaded PDF lists the payment method as text. The faster the invoice follows the service, the faster it gets paid. For product-heavy visits, download the PDF as the itemized receipt the client expects.

Two mistakes that cost salons money

Taking three-hour color bookings with no deposit. A no-show on a Saturday isn’t a gap, it’s a day’s revenue. A proforma deposit request when the booking is made filters out the maybes.

Folding retail into the service line. Products on their own lines reorder themselves — the client sees exactly what to buy again, and your product sales stop hiding inside service revenue.

Should I invoice services and retail products separately?

Yes, each on its own line. It keeps the receipt readable for the client, and in many places retail and services are taxed differently. Separation keeps your books clean.

How do I handle deposits for bridal bookings?

Issue a proforma invoice for the deposit to lock the date, then record it as a partial payment. The final invoice credits the deposit automatically and shows only the remaining balance.

Can I track package sessions?

The client database keeps each client’s invoice history with statuses, so you can see which visits redeemed package sessions and what’s still outstanding. Add a note on each invoice naming the session number.

Does this replace salon booking software?

No. It’s the invoicing half. No appointment scheduling. But for billing it replaces paid invoicing subscriptions: no signup, no monthly fee, and your data stays in your own browser.
