A template has two jobs: look professional and stay out of your way. These come in five color designs (indigo, emerald, crimson, amber, slate) and five document types: invoice, estimate, quote, proforma invoice, and receipt. Pick one, fill in your details, download the PDF. Everything’s free, no account, no watermark on the PDF.
Five designs, five document types
Most template sites give you one layout in different colors and call it a collection. These vary by purpose. Switch the document type and the whole document adapts: an invoice shows balance due and payment terms, an estimate drops the payment pressure, a quote stays clean and itemized, a proforma suits advance payments and exports, a receipt confirms payment with the amount paid shown. Then dress any of them in your color. Your logo, signature, payment methods, and terms carry across all of them, so switching never means re-entering data. One click in the preview panel.
Make it yours in seconds
A template is a starting point, not a cage. Upload your logo and it lands in the document header and on every PDF. Draw your signature once and stamp it on the invoices that need one. Set your defaults in Settings: currency (35 supported), invoice prefix, tax rate, payment terms, theme. Every new invoice starts from there. Add per-line and invoice-level discounts and tax, toggle the amount-in-words line, attach a UPI, PayPal, or Venmo QR code to the on-screen preview, or add the late-fee clause to your terms with one checkbox. Save clients to autofill bill-to details next time. The template handles the design. You handle the business. None of it needs an account.

What every invoice must include
A professional invoice is a legal and practical document, not just a bill. Whatever template or design you choose, these are the fields every invoice should carry: a unique, sequential invoice number; the issue date and the payment due date; your business identity (name, address, and tax ID such as a GSTIN or VAT number where registered); your client’s name and billing address; and itemized lines showing each product or service with its description, quantity, and rate.
Below the line items, show the arithmetic transparently: the subtotal, any discounts, the tax applied (with the rate stated), and the grand total — plus the amount paid and balance due if you accept partial payments. Close with clear payment terms (e.g. “Payment due within 14 days”), your accepted payment methods, and any notes such as a late-fee clause. Sequential numbering with no gaps or duplicates keeps your records auditable and your accountant happy.
